Al empezar el campeonato, casi me da un infarto al perder 4-1 contra Estados Unidos, una vergüenza terrible. Pero ahí salió a relucir el orgullo de nuestra tierra: le metimos una garra tremenda para ganarle 1-0 a Turquía y logramos sobrevivir a la fase de grupos con ese sufrido 0-0 ante Australia. ¡Pero la verdadera historia se escribió contra Alemania en dieciseisavos! El mundo entero de los pronósticos nos daba por muertos, pero aguantamos como verdaderos leones el 1-1 hasta el final de la prórroga. ¡Los eliminamos 4-3 desde los doce pasos, un milagro hermoso y sangriento! ¡Con lo que gané en esa apuesta a la sorpresa me pago las deudas de todo el año y festejo un mes seguido!
