Elsa is a spatial designer with a passion for sustainable, innovative and creative projects. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in interior design, she continued her studies with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Cities Design Lab.

Born on the French caribbean island Guadeloupe, she has developed an innate sensitivity to both natural and cultural capital provided by the island’s rich history. She has a deep understanding of the fragility of the ecosystems and the importance of their preservation.

During her travels around the world she has become tolerant and open minded of other cultures and opinions. It also allowed her to learn some English and Spanish along the way and empathize with her area of work.

Excelling during her studies in interior design, she has developed knowledge and interest about connections between people, nature, movements and places. During her master, she worked on her thesis about how urban design can re-define a new ecosystem approach on a human scale.

Elsa’s background in cross-curricular design approaches allows her to work on a multidisciplinary level and help Except in various branches. Proficient in graphic software and illustration, she thinks that attractive visualization is vital in effective communication.

Elsa joined Except in March of 2015 to contribute her ideas in design and integrated sustainability, for the clients and for future generations.
