Give Tom a couple of hours and he can create a breathtaking rendition of any built landscape you can imagine. Better yet, ask him to imagine one himself, and you'll be treated to a beautiful, novel, and functional design. Perhaps most terrifyingly, it'll be in your inbox before you have time to go and fix yourself a sandwich.
With the mind of an engineer, the eye of an artist, a deep knowledge of sustainability issues, and almost 15 years of experience, Tom can conjure and communicate elegant solutions for the built environment on any number of scales, and brings an integrated understanding of how these different elements come together to define human experience in physical space.
Tom has a master's degree in Architecture from Yale University, and a master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. He has worked in Australia, the Netherlands and the United States. He has taught in various schools and institutions and published articles and a variety of magazines and journals. He has organized various congresses on design and is a member of a number of professional sustainability advisory groups and organizations for the built environment.
Tom lectures on many congresses and events as a keynote speaker, has published various articles in journals and magazines and is available for bookings.
